High Volume Processing with Instabill

Instabill processes for merchants with medium to high monthly sales volumesImage provided by FreeDigitalPhotos.net

Instabill works with a wide range of business owners who work in many different industries and process various monthly sales volumes. We can provide merchant accounts to storefront businesses, MOTO businesses, and e-commerce businesses. We can even help you register your business in another country. However, we would be lying if we said that we did not have a specialty. Here at Instabill what we know best is offshore merchant accounts for medium to high volume merchants.

What is a Good Monthly Sales Volume?

While many banks accept businesses that process as little as $5,000 per month in transactions, our offshore banking partners like seeing at least $50,000 per month. Depending on your business, this may not sound like much at all. Remember, Instabill specializes in high volume credit card processing and we can accommodate merchants processing more than $1 million a month in sales.

Instabill Merchant Account Manager Dan Couzins told me a story the other day. He said that one of his merchants was peaking at $500,000 a month and wanted a merchant account with a $1 million volume cap. Now, there are some offshore merchant accounts that have processing caps—it all depends on the bank—but Dan was able to set up his merchant quickly with a second merchant account. He now had two merchant accounts with $500,000 monthly volume caps. As Dan's merchant continues to grow, we can help him establish multiple merchant accounts—as many as he needs to allow his business and bottom line to grow.

Why Should I Open an Offshore Merchant Account?

Not only will you have very generous volume caps, but offshore merchant accounts can also save you a lot in the end. "The rates may be a little higher with an offshore bank," said Dan, "but when you register your business in the right jurisdiction, you will end up saving significantly more. A merchant may need to pay an extra 2% in credit card processing fees, but an offshore merchant account can save a business upwards of 20% a year in taxes."

Accept Multiple Cards and Currencies with Instabill

If you let us help you establish your high volume credit card processing services the right way, you can benefit from more than just tax exemptions. You will also be able to accept multiple card brands and multiple currencies. Depending on your industry and where you are willing to register your business, you can accept one, two, three, or even all of the following major credit card brands.

Debit and Credit Card Brands Instabill Can Accept

For an e-commerce merchant who sells internationally, processing in multiple currencies is vital to the success of your business. With Instabill, you can process transactions in more than 160 currencies using our simple, secure payment gateway. Listed below are the most popular currencies in which our merchants process.

E-Commerce Marketing Alternatives to Google AdWords

02/18/13 Posted by Saul

Instabill Web Developer Saul Provides E-Commerce Businesses with Alternatives to Google AdWords MarketingImage provided by FreeDigitalPhotos.net

Google AdWords has become a dominant force in marketing for e-commerce businesses. However, the service is so large that it often takes an enormous effort to target an audience. Between the amounts of people purchasing AdWords spaces and the number of users searching Google every minute, the cost per visit to an e-commerce website via AdWords can cost you hundreds of dollars.

Then there are companies such as Trada that specialize in optimizing AdWords campaigns, bringing down the cost per click, and targeting audiences. Regardless of whether you write your own AdWords or hire a third party service provider to do it for you, you will likely end up spending thousands of dollars per month to run an effective Google AdWords campaign.

As a merchant service provider, Instabill strives to provide its merchants with the tools to succeed. While Google AdWords is a leader in advertisements, there are other options for online marketing. If you have the budget for additional marketing outlets, Instabill suggests that you take advantage of the tools available to your business. Below are a handful of effective online marketing tools that can help your e-commerce business grow.

Exhibiting at Tradeshows

Every industry has multiple tradeshows, conferences, exhibitions, and forums each year. Websites such as BizTradeshows.com provide listings of industry-specific events worldwide. For a fee (prices vary per show), you can attend and present your business at these events. This will enable you to expand your professional network as well as market your business to consumers and businesses.

However, it is vital to prepare yourself with marketing material that will leave a lasting impression on those you encounter. Promote your attendance through your business blog or an events section on your website—this will allow your existing clients to know that you will be present at the tradeshow. While you are at the tradeshow, make sure you gather as many names and email addresses as possible. This is not a popularity contest, but your goal is to generate as many new leads as you can.

Email Marketing Campaigns

If you could compose an email marketing campaign that would reach everyone who has visited your website or storefront establishment, how would you design it? Would you send out a weekly or monthly newsletter? Would you design an email marketing campaign around new items? How about promotional sale items? Having an email signup form on all of your website pages has become an industry standard.

Email services such as Campaign Monitor will allow you to track your email marketing campaigns down to the last click. They will also provide you with powerful estimates for your return on investment. With an email service, you can send thousands of emails for pennies per email. Just remember that email marketing campaigns typically yield a 1% to 5% return, so make sure your email list is large and your content is compelling.

Banner and Video Advertising

Since you likely conduct research to determine the type of people (age, gender, salary, buying preferences) who purchase your goods or services, you can create a persuasive banner advertisement. Once you have the graphics and copy in place, the next obstacle becomes where and how to publish your banner ad.

If you have a small budget, you can work with an advertisement reseller such as BlogAds.com. This website will allow you to pick the size of your banner, the theme of the blog (i.e. industry), the number of guaranteed impressions for the duration of your ad, and the length of time you want your ad to run.

On the other hand, if you have a little more money to spend and you want to run a video advertisement, you will want to use a service such as Advertising.com. Not only will Advertising.com let you select your audience, but it will also let you select the time of day and location when your video ad airs. This service provider gives you the ability to target your ads by site as well as sections on most popular websites. You can have your video advertisement up and running for as little as $100, but the service can cost you thousands the more you customize it.

Optimize AdWords Campaigns with Remarketing

The final online marketing tool I would like to discuss incorporates Google AdWords. Remarketing allows you to reach people who previously visited your website by showing them your AdWords ads on other websites that are part of the Google Display Network.

When a visitor leaves your website without making a purchase, remarketing will help you reconnect with the lost customer while he or she browses other sites. You can create a Google AdWords campaign that will display a compelling message to encourage them to return to your site and complete a purchase. This technique is labeled remarketing for the obvious fact that your marketing advertisement is reappearing on the same person's screen.

It is simple to add a remarketing code to all of the pages on your website. Then when a shopper comes to your site, the code will add the shopper to your remarketing list.

Instabill Launches Merchant Account Advice Site

02/15/13 Posted by Instabill

Instabill educated business about merchant accounts with new educational websiteImage provided by FreeDigitalPhotos.com

Who of you out there knew everything about credit card processing when you first decided to establish an e-commerce business? When Instabill CEO Jason Field first entered the payments industry, he did not know it all. However, after fifteen years of working for payment service providers and owning his own merchant service business, Mr. Field has become a merchant account and credit card processing expert and he wants to share all of his knowledge with you.

To help startup business owners understand what it means to be an e-commerce merchant, Instabill has launched a new informational website called Merchant Accounts 101. Our site answers many questions that you may have while trying to begin your own e-commerce website. Take a look below at the different sections you will find on Merchant Accounts 101.

Introduction to Merchant Accounts

From the different types of merchant accounts to why businesses need them, Instabill answers basic foundational questions in Introduction to Merchant Accounts. You can read about some of the most common merchant account fees and even get a straight definition of the term.

Applying for a Merchant Account

Understanding the term merchant account is easy, but applying for one is a little more difficult. Although it is not hard, there are several steps and documents involved. Instabill wrote the section Applying for a Merchant Account to help you understand the different ways you can apply as well as what documents you will need to submit to your merchant account provider for the underwriting process.

Online Credit Card Processing

Many new merchants believe that all they need is a merchant account in order to accept credit cards online. Instabill explains this fallacy in Online Credit Card Processing by explaining the steps involved when accepting payments online as well as discussing the differences between a payment gateway and a shopping cart.

E-Commerce Merchant Accounts

While Merchant Accounts 101 is dedicated to online credit card processing, it is only natural for Instabill to create a section called E-Commerce Merchant Accounts. We share tips on industry-specific accounts and even show you how to spot the best services in this section.

High Risk Merchant Accounts

Since accepting credit cards online automatically labels your business as more risky than selling in a storefront establishment, Instabill created a section called High Risk Merchant Accounts. Here, you can determine your risk level, view a list of high risk industries, and find out how you can open a merchant account as a high risk merchant.

Offshore Merchant Accounts

As an online business owner, you have the option of establishing a merchant account in your residential country or in another country. Offshore Merchant Accounts explains what it means to use offshore credit card processing services as well as the benefits that accompany offshore accounts. Since Instabill specializes in offshore merchant accounts, we also discuss what you need to do if you want to incorporate your business offshore.

International Merchant Accounts

There is a fine line between international and offshore merchant accounts. In the section International Merchant Accounts, Instabill explains the differences among domestic, international, and offshore merchant accounts. We also share the benefits of processing credit cards with an international acquiring bank. (Don't know what an acquiring bank is? Check out our Glossary of Terms!)

Merchant Account Protection

Now that you know all about merchant accounts, online credit card processing, and how to obtain payment processing services, you need to know how to protect your merchant account. In Merchant Account Protection, Instabill shows you how to prevent chargebacks, refunds, and credit card fraud—all things that could result in a terminated merchant account. You will also learn about PCI compliance and SSL certificates.

Merchant Account Reviews

Along with an Instabill Merchant Account review, we also provide reviews of our competitors. Want to read about PayPal? How about Authoirze.net? With the help of our Merchant Account Reviews section, you can determine whether Instabill is the best merchant account provider for your business.

Glossary of Terms

The e-commerce payments industry has its own set of jargon—words that no one expects you to know when you first start your business. Look at the Merchant Accounts 101 Glossary of Terms and start to become familiar with the words you will need to know every day while operating an online business.
